Dude, how did I miss this post the first time around??

Great list, Julie. Very inspiring! I'm actually glad I found this piece now, at the beginning of April, when the enthusiasm of the first quarter of 2008 was just starting to wane.

Must...Keep...Writing!!!

Thanks for the comments, all.
I'd actually written "ramp up" instead of complement, but that got lost in the gentle rinse cycle that occurs between the writer's keyboard and the page you're reading. Thanks for pointing out the error, which has already been fixed.
I look forward to reading your writing here and on Matador.
Peace,
Julie

And when you do come up with that one idea every day, you can learn to spin it 3, 5 or 10 different ways so that even if you do run dry of ideas you've still got stuff out there doing the work for you.

When I was freelancing I sent out a 10-20 queries a week. Some were recycled, some were new. But there was always stuff out there with my name on it.

The beauty of thinking like this is that it not only gets you writing faster, it helps you hone your style *and* forces you to continually look for new markets.

Great list Julie! Its amazing that just coming up with an idea a day can instantly build up to 30 or so a month.

I know my resolution this year is to read a lot more...
