Fall for you means spring for New Zealand and that it's time for me to start getting my own back at all the northern hemisphere bloggers who've been waxing lyrical about summer sunshine, swimming in the sea, and fresh fruit. Ha ha, soon they will be mine!

Nice work, man. Lovely. Out here we're living the cliche, whispering about the promised el niño and deep-down frightened we won't be ready when it comes. Will we run out of wood? Will the walls leak and the roof cave in?

It's going to be interesting to watch you go through this, this Southwestern Autumn. The "non wobbly mega-tits" made me laugh and laugh. Make sure to hunt around some of the amazing used book stores in FL. Google that up. Everyone dies and their books go to...these stores. While you're there, pick up (make it a priority) EB White's Essays, then thumb to "Christmas In Florida".

Oh, also from good 'ol EB: "It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer."

Beautiful, David! Love the talk of transparency. Fall to me is this time of settling down into something quieter, like the act of getting snug in an old chair. I love it. This makes me miss the seasons tremendously.
