This is great! I have an additional suggestion: there's a new website I saw at Boston's Earth Fest called IzzitGreen.com, and it's a Boston-based site that rates local businesses, stores, services, restaurants, etc based on how good they are but also how GREEN they are. It's really neat and helpful. Plus you can add your own reviews/ratings when you've visited places yourself.

Nice catchy catchall of Boston through the green-tinted lenses. I've been in the Boston-area for 30 years, and I definitely learned a thing or two. (Of course, Boston wasn't so green 30 years ago, either, but then again, neither was anyplace else.)

One appropriately named foot trail worth mentioning is the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. It's the lovely ribbon park that fills the 25 acres of sunlight left behind after Boston's notorious Big Dig finished stuffing several miles of elevated expressway below the surface. A stroll takes you by several of Boston's best attractions, including the North End, Quincy Market, and Chinatown, as well as the Aquarium that Steve mentioned.

I would be remiss if I left out Audissey Guides from the Green Guide to Boston. Audissey Guides provides progressive mp3 audio tours of Boston's historic and off-beat sites and sounds. For just $10, you can download the Boston tour -- narrated by local celebs -- and effectively the cheese and crowds of so many popular group tours.

It's a great way to see downtown Boston in a low-key way, on your timetable. (and, I promise no one will quack at you)
